雅-MIYAVI- will participate as a guest in GOOD CHARLOTTE’s new song[Like it's her birthday]. [Like it's her birthday] will go on pre-sale in Japan on 27 October as part of GOOD CHARLOTTE’s first album after changing record labels. It’s also planned to be released as a single on the 7th of September. This song is the result of Madden brothers who feel a deep respect for Japan’s desire to collaborate with a cool Japanese artist.

雅-MIYAVI- has been recommended to the two by their musical record staff who has attended 雅-MIYAVI-’s live show in NEW YORK City and after viewing a recording they made him the offer.

The two sides met for the first time on 26th of August somewhere in Tokyo. Both GOOD CHARLOTTE and 雅-MIYAVI- could bound as really active artists who have traveled around the world and discussed heatedly about guitar and their worldwide activity. 雅-MIYAVI- who has commented that “If given the chance, I would like to do it again” seems to also be anticipating the reactions on this collab.

On a different note,雅-MIYAVI-’s soon to be released [WHAT'S MY NAME] album’s jacket and track list have been revealed. In a simple formula with just 雅-MIYAVI- and BOBO (drums) this piece will contain tracks like [SUPER HERO] and [SURVIVE] album version as well as the 09/15/2010 soon to be released [TORTURE] single. This album was made in colaboration with Yoshio Katoshika as both producer and sound engineer.

Because we have a lot of respect for Japan we’ve been wanting to do a collaboration with a cool Japanese artist for our fans in Japan. Our new record Label’s A&R went to 雅-MIYAVI-’s show in NEW YORK and he was completely stunned, so he recommended him to us. Basically, once we’ve seen the video of his live show, we’ve realized there could be no mistake in choosing him.

I was really impressed with 雅-MIYAVI-’s guitar during the recording of [Like it's her birthday] I thought he was absolutely amazing. ( Continuing about [Cardiology] ) For our next album we wanted to do this kind of sound and gathered a lot of ideas. I think the kinda guitar cuttin’ that reminds me of RED HOT CHILLY PEPPERS is really cool so after he’s (雅-MIYAVI-) listened throughly to my guitar sound, he was able to come with a lot of ideas himself.

雅-MIYAVI- Comment:

At first i was offered to do a solo part but I thought, no matter how I’d do it, it would destroy the song’s image and originality and the whole collaboration would be pointless. In the end the whole solo part idea was dropped all together. I’m really happy they’ve listened to me. I’ve got the strong feeling that stuff like genre really don’t matter. If given the importunity, I’d do it again.

雅-MIYAVI-’s 12 live shows in Tokyo to be be broadcast live on UStream

雅-MIYAVI- will be holding a 12 venues show in the Tokyo metropolitan area themed [Screaming Out from Tokyo] this August. It’s been decided for the whole tour to be broadcast live through UStream under the project name [Streaming Out from Tokyo]. The lives will have a simple arrangement, centered on 雅-MIYAVI- and BOBO (dr/54-71) only.

Although up until now a lot of bands have held live broadcasts, this is the first ever entire tour to be broadcast live so it seems it will be a widely discussed topic.

On a different note, the title of the new album to be released this October has also been revealed. It’s been decided the title will be [WHAT'S MY NAME?]. The sound consists of 雅-MIYAVI-’s vocal and guitar, and BOBO on drums, combining rock, hip hop, dance music and various other influences with 雅-MIYAVI-’s trademark style to provide tunes in a richly original interpretation.

[WHAT'S MY NAME] Limited edition will come with [NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK vol 2] DVD compiling live videos from Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles and an attached 「雅-MIYAVI-BE@RBRICK」.The Regular edition CD contains bonus tracks and will be sold for a limited time ( until the end of December) at the special price of 1980 yen.

 雅-MIYAVI- famous in Japan for his guitar skills, held a press conference in New York in front of an audience of fans and reporters chosen by lottery.

We got to Kobe and went to a China Town named Nankinmachi.
Though it’s in a corner of the city, it has the power to attract costumers and the streets are bustling with activity just like a city center.
